Blackjack is a game of skill and chance between you and the Dealer.
Blackjack always beats any other hand with a value of 21. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck to 6 such decks. You do not need to specify which value the
Ace has as it's always assumed to have the value that makes the best hand. If the value of the dealer's hand is higher than yours you lose. For example, a
hand containing a Jack, 3, and 4 has a value of 17. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
The amount wagered per hand may be increased or decreased by
placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or subtract to your bet. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2. The dealer will not check for Blackjack in any case. The Hit button deals you another card. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination.
