Face cards have a value of 10 and the Aces a value of one or eleven. If you go over 21 this is called going BUST and you automatically lose the hand. The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going bust. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck – no jokers – to 6 or sometimes 8 decks. You are dealt one card and your hand automatically stands. Blackjack beats a score of 21.
The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. The card that remains face down is called the 'hole card'.
If you are dealt a pair you may SPLIT your hand. This means that your pair is divided into two separate hands with two separate wagers. You may repeat your last bet by simply
hitting the "0" button of your numeric keyboard. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination. Click on the OK button to complete the update.
