Face cards have a value of 10 and the Aces a value of one or eleven. Cards are worth their face value with the exception of Kings, Queens, and Jacks which are each worth 10 and Aces which are
worth either 1 or 11. Your hand cannot be beaten, only matched. If you beat the Dealer with Blackjack you are paid out at odds of 3 to 2. Each hand played is a separate wager against the dealer. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
The bets can only be changed or added between games. Insurance only covers your original hand. If the player's hand is closer to 21 the player wins, if the dealer's hand is closer to 21 the player loses. The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. If you are dealt a Blackjack (an ace and a card of value ten) then the dealer will automatically lose unless his single card is an Ace or a card of value 10. You then proceed to draw cards.
