Blackjack is played with 4 decks of cards – with the jokers removed – that are shuffled after the completion of every game.
The object of Blackjack is for the total of your cards to be closer to 21 than the dealer’s cards, without exceeding 21. The objective of Blackjack is to accumulate cards that add up closer to 21 than that of the dealer’s cards, without going over 21. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck – no jokers – to 6 or sometimes 8 decks. You may draw up to nine additional cards to make a hand of eleven cards, provided the value of your hand does not exceed 21. In some Casinos the Dealer is dealt two cards but only one is turned so that it's value can be revealed. The Dealer stands on all hands with the value of 17 or more and draws on all hands with the value of 16 or less.
The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. The bet size can only be changed between games. If your initial two cards do not total 21 then you may request additional cards, called a Hit. The Hit button deals you another card. If you do not have Blackjack on your first two cards, you may decide to stand (draw no more cards), or hit (draw more cards) until you decide to stand. You then proceed to draw cards.
