Upon wagering, you and the dealer (the
computer) are dealt two cards to start. Wagers are placed in the circles provided. Cards are worth their face value with the exception of Kings, Queens, and Jacks which are each worth 10 and Aces which are
worth either 1 or 11. You decide what value is more beneficial to your hand. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”. Your chips are stacked by denomination ($1, $5,
$25, $100, $500) at the bottom of the game window. The Increase and Decrease buttons are used to adjust the size of your bet.
These may be represented as either a + and - symbol or up and down arrows. All face cards - Kings, Queens and Jacks, have a value of ten and the Aces can have a value of 1 or 11. Cards of the same value but not of the same denomination cannot be split in this version of Blackjack. The STAND button ends your hand and moves game play to the next available hand – your next hand or the completion of the dealer's hand.
