After each game has been played, the used cards
are shuffled back into the deck. All face cards are valued at ten and the cards
from 2-10 are valued as indicated. Face cards (the Jack, Queen and King) and 10s all have a value of ten. You can double when your hand has a value of 9, 10 or 11. For example, a
hand containing a Jack, 3, and 4 has a value of 17. The card that remains face down is called the 'hole card'. All hands that purchased INSURANCE win if the dealer has a BLACKJACK – you will break even; if the dealer doesn't have a BLACKJACK the INSURANCE bet loses.
Insurance costs half your original bet. Insurance only covers your original hand. If the player's hand is closer to 21 the player wins, if the dealer's hand is closer to 21 the player loses. You can HIT as many times as you wish until your hand goes bust or you decide to STAND. If your first two cards have the same point value, you may split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet equal to the original bet. You can split two cards with the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours, by clicking the Split button.
