You can take Insurance if the Dealer's first card is an Ace.
The bets can only be changed or added between games. Your hand is divided into two separate hands and a bet equal to your original bet is placed on the second hand. If the player's hand is closer to 21 the player wins, if the dealer's hand is closer to 21 the player loses. You play both hands as separate hands. If your card count goes over 21, you lose.
