Classic Blackjack is played with one standard deck of 52 playing cards that is shuffled before each game. The objective of Blackjack is to accumulate cards that add up closer to 21 than that of the dealer’s cards, without going over 21. Cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe. Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) count as ten. For example, a
hand containing a Jack, 3, and 4 has a value of 17. The Dealer stands on all hands with the value of 17 or more and draws on all hands with the value of 16 or less.
These may be represented as either a + and - symbol or up and down arrows. If he has Blackjack, the hand will be a Push (Standoff)
If you are dealt a pair you may SPLIT your hand. This means that your pair is divided into two separate hands with two separate wagers. Cards of the same value but not of the same denomination cannot be split in this version of Blackjack. If you are dealt a Blackjack (an ace and a card of value ten) then the dealer will automatically lose unless his single card is an Ace or a card of value 10.
