The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. If the Dealer's hand exceeds 21, it is bust, and you automatically win. Cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe. The
value of a hand is the sum of the values of the individual cards. The Dealer will be dealt one card. In some Casinos the Dealer is dealt two cards but only one is turned so that it's value can be revealed. The card that remains face down is called the Hole card.
However, if the Dealers face up card is an Ace or Ten value card, he will act on all hands. The DEAL button starts a new game of blackjack. If you split a pair of Aces and then draw a card with a denomination of 10, this is not Blackjack, although it has a value of 21. A second wager – equal to your original wager – is automatically placed on your second hand. If your first two cards have the same point value, you may split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet equal to the original bet. If your card count goes over 21, you lose.
